Our inspiration

The Edible Playground Project was inspired partly by the work of the Chez Panisse Foundation, and by Common Ground, who defined the importance of local distinctiveness.

RHS Chelsea Flower Show

We brought the Edible Playgrounds initiative to life with our garden at the Chelsea Flower Show 2008, and won a Gold Medal for our efforts. Here’s the whole story in film, from the original design to the recycling of the garden in Dorset…

RHS Hampton Court Flower Show

We were thrilled to win a gold award at Chelsea Flower Show this year, but we didn’t want to stop there... so we created another, bigger Edible Playground for the Hampton Court Palace Flower Show, where we won a gold medal and the stunning Tudor Rose Award for Best Show Garden!
