Remove the dry seeds from a sunflower head – or buy some seeds.
Soak the seeds in hot water for 15 minutes to soften them. Pat them dry on a kitchen towel and place them on some newspaper.
Cut enough thread to go around your neck, with enough left over for tying. Thread your needle and knot one end leaving a tail.
Spike a seed with your needle and press down onto the flat surface. Lift the seed and carefully push the needle right through.
When you have enough seeds on your necklace, tie the ends of the thread together. Hang it in a sunny place to dry.
Please make sure you ask a responsible adult to help you.
