large, smooth pebble or rock
acrylic paints and paintbrush
pencil

Wash and dry your pebble or rock.
Search on the Internet or in books for pictures of ladybirds.
Paint your rock to look like a ladybird. You could sketch it out in pencil first. Our most common ladybird has seven black spots.
Find a good place in the garden to site your ladybird.
