Go tropical

The sweet, juicy pineapple is the upside-down fruit - here's why.

 

For this project you will need:

a pineapple
a plate
a pot with compost (soil)

Cut the top off a pineapple with about 2cm of fruit still attached. Be careful - you may need help with this.

Place the pineapple top in a plate of water and keep inside in a warm spot.

In a few weeks you will notice the pineapple has grown roots. Transplant it into a pot filled with compost.

Continue to tend to your pineapple plant. Who knows, one day it may produce pineapples!
