Fruits, herbs and spices make attractive Christmas decorations and they smell great. Here's a few ideas.
For this project you will need:
some cotton and raffia
some orange peel
some fresh or dried red chillies
some cinnamon sticks (cut short)
some bay leaves
1 x scissors
Peel an orange, trying to keep the peel in big pieces. Then use your scissors to cut it into circles, triangles and other shapes.
Make a hole in each shape and thread cotton through to make a loop for hanging.
Do the same to your chillies, attaching them by the stalk. (Wash your hands after handling chillies.)
Tie two or three cinnamon sticks to a bay leaf with a raffia bow. Then attach a cotton loop for hanging.
Hang your decorations on your Christmas tree or on a Christmas branch. As they dry out they will smell lovely.
