Apple clove ball
The Elizabethans liked to hang these among their clothes to perfume them. You can easily make one for yourself or to give as a present.
For this project you will need:
apple (firm)
cloves
ribbon
Sow it, Grow it projects

One by one, press the cloves into the apple. Make sure they are close together and gradually cover the whole apple.

Tie the ribbon securely around your apple and make a loop at the stalk end.

Hang in a warm room to dry slowly. Once dry it should last for ages.
