To the nice people at the garden centre,

We need your help to make our Edible Playground!

Our school is a member of the Edible Playgrounds scheme with Dorset Cereals. That means we’re turning over a corner of our schoolyard to growing our own vegetables – and encouraging children to enjoy food that’s honest, tasty and real. But we need your help to get growing!

We would be really grateful if you could give us any of the following:

  • a discount on gardening kit, like tools, seeds and watering cans
  • advice on how to grow things well
  • a talk to our class about growing vegetables

In return, we can say good things about your help in any publicity we get. You’ll also help put smiles on children’s faces…and maybe even give them a lifelong love of gardening.
